I am a retired Psychiatric nurse and I have been working with wood for the past three or four years. My small workshop doubles up as my Garage and so my car has to be parked on the drive when I turn anything large that may fly off of the lathe. My first venture was into wand making as I am a great fan of Harry Potter. Working with wood is very therapeutic for me and also keeps me out of trouble while my wife is at work.
A lot of my products are made from wood that I pick up while on my walks with the dog. Often it is the wood that determines what the end product will be.
